The Japan Rail Pass (both the Exchange Order and the actual pass) cannot be reissued under any circumstances. This is a strict policy maintained by the Japan Railways (JR) Group.

• Required Action: If you lose your pass while in Japan, you will need to purchase standard train tickets at regular prices for the remainder of your trip.
• Recommendation: Please treat your pass like cash or a passport. Keep it in a secure place (such as a travel wallet) and avoid leaving it in ticket machines or on train seats.
