No, the email confirmation or digital receipt cannot be used to board any trains or to exchange for a pass in Japan.
- Physical Voucher Required: You must present the original physical Exchange Order (green paper voucher) that JTB Canada sends to you via mail or provides at our office.
- Exchange Process: Once you arrive in Japan, you must take this physical paper voucher to a JR Exchange Office (located at major airports and stations) to receive your actual Japan Rail Pass.
- Forgotten Vouchers: If you leave the physical voucher in Canada, you will not be able to obtain your JR Pass in Japan. We cannot send a digital copy or a replacement code; you would need to purchase a new pass at the full "in-Japan" price or have the original voucher couriered to you.
Please ensure that the physical voucher is in your carry-on luggage before you depart for the airport.
