Can a friend or family member pick up my JR Pass order on my behalf?
Yes, a third party is permitted to collect your Japan Rail Pass Exchange Order at our Richmond office. To ensure a secure and smooth handover, please follow the procedure below during your online purchase.
Procedure for Third-Party Pickup:
- During Checkout: When selecting the "Local Pickup" option on our order screen, you will be prompted to provide the Full Name and Phone Number of the person who will be collecting the order.
- Information Accuracy: Please ensure that the name entered exactly matches the name on the individual's government-issued Photo ID. Our staff will only release the voucher to the specific person named in the order details.
What the Representative Needs to Bring:
To verify their identity, the person picking up the order must present the following at our office:
- Valid Photo ID: A physical government-issued identification (e.g., Passport or Driver's License).
- Order Confirmation: A copy of the order confirmation email (digital or printed) or the order number.
If you have already placed your order but forgot to include the pickup person's details, please contact us immediately via email before they arrive at our office.
